||Before x Past Perfect
Which is the correct form?
a. I was blamed for it before I HAD SAID anything.
b. I was blamed for it before I SAID anything.
a. The waiter took my plate before I HAD FINISHED it.
B. The waiter took my plate before I FINISHED it.
My doubt is: Can I use the past perfect with before or shall I use simple past?
