Se eu entendi o que li nos links (sites):
"Eu nunca tive um imprintment" in other words "Eu nunca achei minha alma gêmea/aquele lobo que vai me integrar ao grupo (pack - alcatéia).
Imprinting is the involuntary mechanism by which Quileute shape-shifters find their soul-mates.
Imprinting was supposed to be a rare exception, but several of Jacob's pack mates were already imprinted in Eclipse. Jake would eventually imprint, too--on Renesmee, Bella's vampire hybrid daughter.
Dracula Count would love such a word, "the imprintment" would be the fang into the
woman choosen (by his instinct - the involutary mechanism of choosing his victim).
The difference is that his "imprintment" makes the human turn entirelly into "one of the group", whereas this modern one makes the human an hybrid.
The "imprintment" suggests the author did read some psychology, or even is a psychologist by training, maybe the "love/admiration between two beings where it is not supposed to happen" came from there.
