Mensagem:   PPaulo, I'd suggest "to scratch out".  You usually scratch something that irritates you:  a mosquito bite, an allergy, etc.  You can even scratch a lottery ticket.  But you "scratch out" (or "scratch off") something you want to remove:  you scratch off the price sticker on a gift, you scratch out your name on a list, etc.
