You‘ve made a comprehensive research. Thanks a lot. I'm not convinced tough. 



Some considerations:

You said: Now submit RHYTHM, the dictionary fetch the phonetical ´rəðm  (no j sound phonetically), see why it have no consonant?

I submit and I got  ˈrɪðəm, different from outputthere is an I in the phonetic transcription.

According to the rule you showed: The letter y is a consonant when it is the first letter of a syllable that has more than one letter. If y is anywhere else in the syllable, it is a vowel. 

The y in rhythm should be a vowel, shouldn’t it?
