Mensagem:  It´s idiomatic, Bruno, when we see DID YOU EVER it means "você já ...", sometimes with a slightly ironic/sarcastic way, not always, tough.
DID YOU EVER heard of Eucaliptux? (to a child with a running nose...)
Já ouviu falar de Eucaliptux?

DID you ever heard of an American invention called flip flop? (to a guy walking awkwardly with bare feet in a gravel road.)
Você já ouviu falar de chinelo (de dedo)?

DID you ever heard of erasure? (to  a child with a notebook written carelessly all over with pencil)


But in a serious way:
A) Did you ever heard of a country named Tuvalu?
B) Yes, I did.
