It is so hot today!
And how!  (You are right.  I agree.  Yes it is hot today.)

Yay = Usually used to describe the size/amount of something.  I equate it with "assim".  A synonym could be "about".
His son is about yay tall.  (And you show with your hand how tall his is.)
You put yay much salt in the soup.  (And you show with a spoon or perhaps your finger/hand the amount of salt.

Wicked!  =  Great!  Fantastic!  Wonderful!
I heard this a lot in California, but not for years.
I went to a wicked party last night.
His car is wicked.
Other expressions include bitching, totally tubular*, gnarly*, awesome, far out, bad, cool.  *No longer used slang.
The movie was bitching!
She is an awesome lady.
Far out!  I like your idea!
His cycle looks bad!  (His motorcycle looks very attractive, nice.)
You just gave me a cool idea.
Are you cool with that?  (Do you accept that?  Do you agree with that?  Are you happy with that?)
Do you want another beer?  No, thanks.  I'm cool.  (I do not want another beer.)
