Mensagem: 

"Security" is often used in relation to threats against one's life.  What is the presidents bodyguard unit called?  His security detail.  Remember "The Boys From Brazil"?  Remember what the German dentist asked in reference to the diamonds?  He asked, "Are they safe?"  "Are they secure?" would have been perfectly acceptable.  When one has heard and used these words for years, one gets a "gut feeling" for them, and how they are used in different contexts.  It is not something simple to explain.
