Sorry for being late, guys, unfortunately I was out for two days, had to get my wife to the hospital. She got a bit under the weather, everything´s well now.Agreed with you both. And as Fran has pointed out, these days the classroom has to shift that teacher-based paradigm and then turn into a sharing of experiences.
Of course this demands more creativity on part of the teacher himself, and flexibility on part of the educational system.
Not to mention the student being aware of his role as an active actor in the process.
A mentor/cooperating teacher (with some degree of liberty as of the contents of the teaching and methods) is what seems emerging, but is Brazil up to the challenge?
What´s more striking, is that these thoughts are the product of the sixties, with Chomsky and others therorists at the time. Would be interesting not only to know how they used (and adjusted themselves to) this, but also how is the state of the art today, which theories and methods are in play abroad today.
