Mensagem:  I have to disagree with the statement below:
Lucas, your sentence  "I´m used to going to the beach on weekends" can simply be translated into "Eu ia á praia nos finais de semana."

"I am used to..." refers to an action in the past that was true then, true now (in the present), and will probably be true in the future.  On the other hand, "Eu ia a praia..." refers to a repetitive activity in the past without any implication that it has continued into the present or will be continued in the future.

As for:
In a movie, I heard the guy say "I used to work with you father." and the dubbing was
"Eu trabalhei com seu pai".     See?

I think a better translation would be "trabalhava".  It's a minor difference, but it does a better job of showing that the work went on for some time in the past and was not a "one shot" job.

If I'm all wet, I'm sure you won't hesitate to tell me.

By the way, something people seem to be missing is that there is a HUGE difference in meaning between "I am used to" and "I used to".  "I am used to" means I am accostumed to, I am in the habit of, I customarily do something, etc.  "I used to" refers to a repeated action/activity in the past that I am no longer doing.
