Mensagem:  I daresay - after such a thorough explanation, I feel kinda powerless to reply you...

The thing is, as a TEFL at lgg. schools and regular ones as well (junior high / high school), we end up creating labels that seem to enhance learning / pupils' understanding.

The terminology "primitive", which I still believe to be widespread among mere mortals, doesn't sound weird at all (especially - and perhaps - if we're teaching English through Portuguese). But that's not the point.

I'd better have my trainer wheels off then. At least concerning kicking off certain "old" "bad" habits of pidgin / fossilized interlanguage. Ghost-busters! :)
