Yeah, I agree that is not usual the use of 'for good' in this fashion.
On the other hand, the kids might mean the exact opposite, that is, instead of saying ''we have every possible doubt/all doubts of the world/for the rest of the century" they might said 'for good'.
Or maybe this is other slang or regionalism, if so, this extrapolates my knowledge then, I let the job to the Canadians around.
