Mensagem:  Indeed Pat this is a process that, ifit is really happening, will take generations to consolidate.

Our ç in moça for example used to represent the same th sound as you have in English for thing but aftyer centuries it was merged with s sound. In European Portuguese depending on the position of the letter d it sounds like the th in that.
