Hello,

I'm reading a pdf file about American Colonization and I came across this paragraph that I couldn't translate the last sentence , it doen't make sense to me . Could you geve me hand in translating ? What are generations of moccassins wore ruts a foot deep along these routes in Portuguese ? or what does it mean genertion of moccasins ?

"Over time, Indians developed trails of their own.

These paths often were no wider than 12 to 18 inches across.

Warriors following such paths often moved in single file, and

generations of moccasins wore ruts a foot deep along these

routes."
