Mensagem:  According to Merriam-Webster, the word "tour" can only be pronounced "tower" when it means "one's turn in an orderly schedule" (shift) or "a period during which an individual is on a specific duty." Even in these cases, "tower" is not the most common pronunciation. I looked the word up in other dictionaries, and most of them don't even mention the "tower" pronunciation. My guess is that this pronunciation is extremely rare.
