======================
What I mean is like friends, or students-teachers, family... really "convivendo"... how do you say that?

You can say, "I and my parents lived togheter for quite a while/for [x] years" or "I and John was
close friends, we were like brothers, we took part in the same activities, went to the same places. Were
from the same frat/group etc.

Let´s wait further comments, this is a preliminary and tentatively answer.
