To help yourself think like a native you'd have to listen to natural speech spoken by native speakers and get your mind used to how native speakers speak.
Then you'd have to become familiar with language chunks, not simply isolated words or idioms.
You can learn part of what I am talking about by listening to current audio produced by American and British ELT / English Language Teaching companies that sell in Brazil.
Interchange ( Cambridge Press) is a good example.
Try to listen to and become familiar with natural language, this will aid your thinking in English.
Movies are not very natural but they can help too.
Now for sitcoms I don't know how helpfull those are in your learning, but if my suggestion would be Seinfeld.
I'd try it with Seinfeld, although it is a 90's sitcom.
