Mensagem:  "Double two double four two five double five" would drive me nuts.

I do not know about today, but in the past many small towns had six-digit phone numbers.  Mexicans in the USA would give phone numbers in two-digit groups.  This would leave one number (the last digit) hanging in space.

924-01-00 would become 92-40-10-0.  A small difference?  It is not small if you are used to hearing something different.  Or how about Nine hundred twenty four thousand, one hundred?
