Mensagem:  PPaulo, remember that "granny" is short for grandmother, not grandfather.

Grandfathers are often called "gramps" (grampa, grandpa).  They may have other names too.  Since a child hopefully has two sets of grandparents, he may call one grandfather "Grampa Pereira" and the other "Grampa Schmidt", or possibly by a nickname, his first name (Grampa Tommy), etc.
