to make a lane change = to change lanes

I only have R$500 for my expenses this month, but I will make do. (I will find a a way to survive this month until I get more money next month. I won´t be going to Rock no Rio this year!)
It was raining and we were far from the house. We made a make-do shelter (makeshift shelter) from branches and some plastic we found. (The shelter was not as good as a house, but it was better than nothing.)
