Mensagem:  to go to + infinitive
to go to + destination
No example comes to mind that requires "to" after "to go" other than an infinitive or a destination.

I am going to sleep now.  (to sleep = infinitive)
I am going to read a book tomorrow.  (to read = infinitive)
She is planning to study history.  (to study = infinitive)

He went to the party.  (the party = destination)
She is going to Texas.  (Texas = destination)
They will go to the library in Buenos Aires.  (the library = destination)

They will go to by bus.  (by bus = neither infinitive nor destination)
He went to swimming.  (swimming = neither infinitive nor destination)
We will go to soon.  (soon = neither infinitive nor destination)
