Assunto:  This a sunglass or these are sunglasses?
 
Mensagem:  It sounds so strange to say "a pair of eyeglasses".  Does the person have a set for the sun and a set for reading?  And when I hear "a pair of pants", I visual someone wearing two sets of clothing, one on top of the other. 

Have you heard of George Carlin?  He was a very popular American comedian.  He had a monologue about the five words one cannot say on television.  In some contexts the words are innocent.  In other contexts the words are BANNED!  Well, maybe not now.  But they were several years ago.

If we have languages, who needs science fiction to make us think and comedy to make us  nd laugh?
