Assunto:  This a sunglass or these are sunglasses?
 
Mensagem:  CRS, I've got the crushed pineapple.  Maybe this weekend I can try your recipe.

The news is...  Does anything make sense??? 

I find it hilarious when people try to use logic to explain a grammar rule.  The logic used to explain "ser" and "estar" in Spanish, for example, does not apply to "ser" and "estar" in Portuguese.  Same words, different rules.  If something is logical in one language, shouldn't it be logical in another?  And how can anyone study the use of the Portuguese subjunctive without a few bottles of Brahma at hand?  There is probably a direct link between language study and drug abuse.  LOL
