Mensagem:  I am an English teacher in Brazil and I'm used to saying "Hav/I/ng instead of hav/i/ng to my students. The thing is that one day, one of my students asked me if I was saying "heaven", haha!
Well.. i know that the difference would be in the first syllable, taking into account how we must pronounce the sound HEAven.. but by asking that he kind of intrigated me, because when I hear people saying the ing, they pronounce with the /i/ sound, even though the dictionaries say it should be /I/
