Assunto:  Aim to vs Aim at

Aim to - Dale´s explanation and examples were impecable.

The Longman entry AIM has in the aim to do something, the following example :

"I am aiming to lose 4 kg before before the summer holidays."

    So, Meu objetivo/meta/propósito (pessoal) é...

Again, The Longman aim something at somebody, says "to make something in such a way that a particular person or group of people will like it"  and the example given is: "The program is aimed to at a teenage audience."

     In other words, "O programa é destinado ao/dirigido ao/feito para o público jovem/adolescente."
