Back to the crux (of the matter then)

 

So, does the word steadies mean namorado(a) as we have in Portuguese (someone who you date regularly, yet is not formally engaged)?


Yeah, steady is going serious with someone (even if he/she is just a girlfriend/bf.)/    Involve a commitment of some sort (a site said) /being faithful to somebody.

 

 

And if so, how could I use it?  eg(?) Ana is my steadies.
I am steady with my wife/I am steady with Ana...etc

going steady means that you will no longer date other people and that you care about each other
