Orlando, I think you are being kind. Too kind.
The only example that comes to mind of "in ever" is in such sentences as:
The amount of rain that falls here is in ever increasing amounts. (Each time, it rains more.)
The amount of water is decreasing in ever falling amounts. (Each time, there is less water.)
