That's really funny about the 3-leg-cat...LOL you made me laugh...LOL
Some stuff in Spanish I really can't understand, like I've heard many times people saying "venga me traer" to "come to get me" it sounds so weid to my ears. English also uses the "to bring" in different ways...I remember saying at the library "can I bring those books?"
meaning "can I borrow those?" Then a friend told me, just to tease me, "you can bring those, but I don't know if you are allowed to"....LOL
In English some expressions also make me think...like, "I let myself out".
I don't get why you need to "allow" yourself to leave, just leave. But I think that's the beauty of language right?
P.S. we say in Brazil, "procurando chifre na cabeca de cavalo" (looking for trouble).
