It is a matter of verbal agreement. 

A verb must agree with a subject. The correct form in your example is "most of them have" because "most of them" is a plural noun [although there's no letter S in "most of them" to represent that plural].

Either "most of them" or the personal pronoun "they" requires a verb in the plural tense.
