Eddie, I understand. The English grammar in songs is often quite bad, especially rock songs. Movie dialogues are also often written in terrible grammar, and you will also read/hear this in interviews of people who surely know better. Is it just a bad case of "the jitters". "nerves"? One of the most common mistakes are of the "him and I" variety. She gave the Senator and I the document we needed. I? Nobody would ever say "She gave I the document", but they will routinely say "She gave him and I". What can one do? |
