This doesn't mean you and I are going steady. No holding hands, no kisses on the lips. Anything I can do for you, Gus, is a way to repay the kindness of others who have helped me over the years. It is an honor to be of help. I am pleased to see you are reading good books. Grisham is great! I found another writer a few years ago who had been a judge in the Chicago area. I think his first name was William. I used to confuse his name with that of Michael Connelly,. another writer that I like. Connelly writes about Los Angeles where I lived and worked for years. William X wrote about the Chicago. His main character was a recovering alcoholic, and the father of a recovering alcoholic. While defending his clients, he would do some detective work. Great novels! But what was his name? |
