Teacher, I would suggest Speak Up, they intersperse reading/listening with natives in both American/British accents; not to mention the Australian and South African ones, from time to time.
Of course, I am giving this info out of courtesy, I am not in the payroll of them, it is because I know the mag from long ago. I think it´s worthy, obviously you have to go elsewhere for grammar and stuff, with 50 pages in average it wouldn´t naturally cover everything.
Anyway, it´s better than to be studying by this course you just talked about.
There is a magazine called Think (Spanish authors and press) to the ones in the Southeast region, e.g. Rio-SP.
An experienced teacher is always a good idea too.
