Assunto:  Happy Valentines and lipsticks...!

He he, not everyone was ready to it, in Brazil it comes in June.

Or maybe it is because people have searched into Google and got traumatized with the knowledge of "the massacre of St. Valentin´s day", in Chicago.

While speaking of girlfriends (I know, I know, the word "namorados" is meant to both genders, but we men are the ones to send cards, buy the gifts and ask the girls out!), take care of your gilrfriend or wife. If you going to buy lipstick take heed of that piece of news:

When the FDA ran its first lipstick-lead test in 2007, it only tested 20 lipsticks. While it found lead in all of them, none was over 3.06 parts per million and all of them were below the safety limit of 5 parts per million recommended by the state of California. California has the most stringent law in the country on lead in consumer products.
When the test was repeated in 2011 with a far larger sample size, 14 lipsticks had levels higher than 3.06 parts per million and two were higher than 5 parts per million.
While the FDA maintains that the lead levels in lipstick are safe since lipstick is not ingested, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics disagrees. This organization maintains that lead levels in lipstick are a safety concern since lead builds up in the body over time. When lead-containing lipstick is applied several times a day, every day, it can add up to significant exposure levels.

The top 10 lipsticks with the most lead:
1. Maybelline's Color Sensational 125 Pink Petal: 7.19 parts per million
2. L'Oreal's Colour Riche 410 Volcanic: 7.00 parts per million
3. NARS's Semi-Matte 1005 Red Lizard: 4.93 parts per million
4. Cover Girl Queen Collection's Vibrant Hues Color Q580 Ruby Remix: 4.92 parts per million
5. NARS's Semi-Matte 1009 Funny Face: 4.89 parts per million
6. L'Oreal's Colour Riche 165 Tickled Pink: 4.45 parts per million
7. L'Oreal's Intensely Moisturizing Lipcolor 748 Heroic: 4.41 parts per million
8. Cover Girl's Continuous Color 025 Warm Brick: 4.28 parts per million
9. Maybelline's Color Sensational 475 Mauve Me: 4.23 parts per million
10. Stargazer's Lipstick 103c: 4.12 parts per million

Well, this might not happen in Brazil, we have demanding consumers! don´t we have?
