Fair enough, indeed I wasn´t supposed to be among you guys (I mean, in the Forum).
I don´t master pronounce (don´t ever get close to it), my English sucks, my grammar
is rusty, my books are dog-eared and yellowed, I don´t have much contact to natives, I need to go dictionaries to check up words...many times I am chatting and people say that some of my adages and way of talking are outdated...
I keep trying, anyway. I know that "where there´s a will there´s a way". And there are people that have a knowledge in worse shape than mine (he who is beggining today!). Plus, I have to go from the very beggining too, sometimes I am studying by myself but I have to listen a CD, DVD or something, I know well that nobody is an Island, and to learn on his own is very hard...from my own experience.
That´s why I come here, and other places as well.
I just was thinking aloud, maybe; that discussing theory vs practice would take out time and deflect of the original Gerund-Infinitive discussion, but then it´s me.
You both are my buddies just the same, regardless your opinions. Somehow I feel you guys of EMB as a family of mine (oops, my wife is getting jealous of my "second" family!). ;-)
