Mensagem:  Fran, I forget where you are.  In the Mid-West?  What do you call your meal at noon?  Is it "lunch", "dinner", or something else?  And your evening meal?

In Spanish it gets very complicated.  I remember inviting a girl to have lunch with me, but the word I was accustomed to using (desayuno) meant "breakfast" where she was from.  To her, a "desayuno" was not a complete meal, just a very light breakfast of bread and coffee.
