I bet there are hundreds of American words that the British doesn´t make any idea as well. Nice post tough. Still, there are plenty of words that have a different pronounce, just try to listen BBC TV on cable TV or radio. On top of all that; there are the Aussie words, the ones of South Africa and so on... not to mention the accents in the U.S. and the language of certain neighbourhoods. Yet, an American would adjust his listening, writting and reading quickly, when in Roma... |
