Review sessions would do, albeit I think it is more proper to talk about the in-class rehashing we see in Brazilian schools, in general. The ones we see at the end of the year, that are more like "workshops", I would name them as suplementary classes (I mean, to entrance exams in University), or it´s a set of review classes offered in a week or so, with all twelve subjects (or so) that will be found in the exam. In America students might not experience such an ordeal, since what they need is the average marks over their student´s life (expressed by the SAT). In fact, a lower or higher SAT will determine which institution will accept them, along with other requirements, like being athletes etc. On review session: http://www.psychologicalscience.org/observer/getArticle.cfm?id=2286 ----------------------- Comments about the S.A.T. in America vs Brazilian entrance exam system http://www.economist.com/node/21562955/comments#comments |
