Another very common mistake among natives is using "I" instead of "me" and vice versa when more than two are involved. Do you want to go to the store with me? (No problem. Just two people.) Do you want to go to the store with John and I? (Problem. More than two people involved. I want to speak to Mary. (No problem. Just two people.) John and me want to speak with Mary. (Problem. More than two people involved. It's amazing how times this is heard in movies and TV series. |
