Mensagem:     Tantos anos longe ... Valeu sentir vontade de cuidar da febre, do resfriado e não poder estar aí...

So many years way....it was worth feeling like taking care of the fever, the cold and not being able to be there ou or it was worthwhile not being there to take care of the fever and the cold

   It seems like you need to use WORTH/WORTHWHILE in cases with a a ring of things "you value", that is, it takes some effort. Your example is so everyday!

    Plus, worth or worthwhile "feeling" sounds a very remote and abstract to me.

   So, to my mind it might be rephrased into "It paid taking care of the cold (and its symptoms) now I am the picture of the health."
    It was worthy/worth taking care of the fever. Altough I couldn´t be there to chat. (a place that I do value, so it was a trade-off  here)

worth the time, money, or effort spent; of value or importance:
Sufficiently valuable (not just in monetary terms) to justify the investment of time or interest.


    Tantos anos longe ...
     Please, see a doctor and fast! the medicine instructions on the prescription labe says "if symptoms persist seek medical attention", if they persist for years... it´s worrisome.
