I'm curious to know about public educational system in The USA. I've always seen in films and interviews people talking about saving money since their children are very young for college. I've heard people saying about not taking college because they can't afford paying it and see people travelling long distances to go to college. 1- Is that so expensive that a person who works can't afford to pay? Some people here work during the day and go to college at night and pay their college and some can have a loan from the government (FIEs) 2-Aren't there public colleges in US as we have here? Federal, State and Municipality ones? My sister is at a Federal University and she pays nothing, not even the "matricula". 3- Why people always travel to other state to take college and have to live in dorms? Why don't they prefer to stay in their own place? Aren't there enough colleges in their own state? Here, I rarely see people travel from Rio to study in other state, the further people go is to Niterói or sometimes to interior of Rio, not to states far from here. And How about the other countries. Does this also happen in Canada or England? |
