Maybe we are not understanding the meaning of ¨to bother¨. It means ¨to go through the process of, do-make something requiring extra effort, etc.¨ It does NOT mean ¨"to worry about". Would you like some coffee? Please don´t bother. (No, thank you. Do not make coffee.) He left without bothering to say goodbye. (He left without taking the time to say goodbye.) I can explain! Don´t bother! (I do not want to hear your excuses!) It´s no bother. = It is no trouble. I do not mind. It is not a problem for me. |
