Mensagem:  Well, I'm not the right person to answer in this forum, but I've got good books that helps. Let's wait for the experts opinion.

Here some research I did about the theme:

when two teams or players have the same score we can say draw in British English or tie in American English.
 Eg : What was the result of the Barcelona v Real Madrid game ? It was a draw.  or the game ended in a tie. another option is to say " be two all / be four all, etc " Eg : It is two all at the moment. What was the final score? It was one all.
The final score was 4 all ( = both players had 4 points)

the verbs to beat or defeated are used to say that one team win. Eg. Brazil beat Italy in the final.
Red fox defeated the Yankees 6-3

We also use the verbs to win and to lose about games competitions. BTW, in British English we can use the word  match for soccer game.
