LINGUISTICS & CULTURE

First of all, I'd like to congratulate you all on this amazing forum. I've read the tips on how to open a school, and I found them extremely insightful!
I intend to start an English school with high teaching standards (based around the CEFR), which I consider myself able to manage. But, there are other equally important aspects such as: building, facilities, staff, furniture, etc. Not to mention taxes, fees, pedagogical material, rent, salaries, an so on! Taking all that into account, I find it really difficult (and costly) to get the startup money. I've though of a loan or even investors, but I'm not sure if that's the best idea.
The competition in my area is very big in terms of famous brand names (franchise). Some schools are very sofisticated in terms of structure, advertisement, bla bla bla... But, as you already know, most of the owners (franchisees) haven't got the slightest idea of what they are doing.
Is there any person here who has some knowledge, advice or experience to share?
