I had friends who worked for the Consulate in Los Angeles. They told me the most important part of applying for work with the government is the list of your references. QI = Quem indica. Another rule bender... On the other hand, an American friend was a favorite of high ranking officials in Los Angeles County who wanted him for a job but had to accept applications from the public. This was not a problem as they wrote the qualifications to closely match his. About the only things left out of the qualifications were the applicants' favorite color and shoe size. They also posted the notice of the interview (I don't recall a test being involved) at the last possible moment and buried it under other employment announcements. |
