The use of the article or not doesn't depend on the preceding adverb. It depends on the following noun. You don't use an article for habitual places. Ex: after school, before lunch, after work. The same with the verb to go: go to bed, go to school, go to church. You use the article for places you don't habitually go: after the meeting, before the show. The same with the verb to go: go to the bank, go to the office, go to the park. Josi |
