Mensagem:  Warriner's grammar and composition- I'll check it out. Would have been= definite past perfect-positive(Modal) Would not have been= definite past perfect-negative(Modal) You see, the problem is that just like you, I, too, couldn't tell with 100% certainty. I had to look for it. What I want is a book that'll help me articulate what I alread know. Does anyone else have any other book suggestion? -Miguel Vieira
