Assunto:  Re: Took tests? Did tests?

Mensagem:  Como eu traduzo: "Eu fiz várias provas."? Tanto pode ser "I did lots of tests", como "I took lots of tests", não é? E: "Sua nota foi 8" seria "your score was 8"?

"Your score was 8" is correct. Sometimes tests are given numbers (called "scores")and sometimes they are given a letter (A, B, C, D, F - Notice that there is not an "E"). Letters are called "grades". A test or exam can have a grade, and so can a class/course.

What did you get in the test on Monday?
I got a B.
I got a score of 8. I got an 8.
I got a score of 84. I got an 84.

What did you get in history last term?
I got a B+. I got an A-.
B+ = B plus, A- = A minus

What was your gradepoint average last year?
I got a 3.8 gradepoint.
What was your grade average last year?
I got a A-.

A = 4
B = 3
C = 2
D = 1
F = 0
