Mensagem:  Fox: The dialogue is not very clear. How we speak is different from how we talk. We make mistakes that go uncorrected, we say things without realizing that we are being vague and unclear, etc. We cannot edit what we speak. When it's said, it's said. Right or wrong, it's said. We have the special problem of not knowing what was said prior to this part of the convesation. I can only assume that we were correct about "mortise". He was putting together two things, probably two boards or pieces of wood. He might have been building a table, a cabinet, a boat, etc.
