Mensagem:  I can think of two ways to use "whatnot". (1) A "whatnot" is something of little value or use. Typically it's very small and often sold as a souvenir. Do you remember the tiny cuia and bomba you bought in Porto Alegre? What are you going to do with them? You can drink chimarrao with them. They are whatnots. And how about the woodcarving of Pao de Acucar? And the brass Statue of Liberty? And the Eiffel Tower ashtray? They are all "dust collectors", whatnots. (2) "Whatnot" is sometimes used like "etc." "Bill, bring your fishing pole, fishing line, hooks, sinkers, bobs, leaders, and whatnot. We're going fishing tomorrow!" "Liz, I make my sauce with vinagre, olive oil, lemmon pepper, garlic, secret spices, and whatnot."
