Mensagem:  Tom,Thanks!
I guess I was pushing!
I was aware about "splinter and thorn" but just thought "prickle" could be used in the same meaning as a "thorn" when you get something stuck in y/ foot.
What about getting something stuck in your foot from a hedgehog?? Could I use the word "I´ve got a prickle" (similar to "I´ve got a splinter")or would it sound as a pun?
I´ve never heard anybody refering a "prickle" in a rose stem but could actually say it?
