Yes, you get plain salted peanuts. We buy them in little bags that used to cost a nickel (five cents). Now the same bag costs about a dollar. These are what you call amendoim. Shake a couple of them down the top of the Dr. Pepper bottle and let them fizz a bit. As you drink the soda some peanuts will come out with the liquid. Swallow the liquid and then chew the peanuts. It's something learned as a kid on a hot summer day, under the shade of a weeping willow, fishing off the side of a stream, barefoot and without a care in the world.
